Universities design curricula to achieve holistic graduate outcomes, yet students’ academic choices and effort are often driven by GPA considerations. This emphasis can increase academic stress and undermine learning. At the course level, how can faculty reduce such stress without compromising academic rigour?
Rama will share findings on how faculty designed course assessment frameworks, including assessment components and their weightings, shape perceived academic stress among LKCSB students. The study draws on student focus groups, interviews with faculty across LKCSB sub areas, and insights from the SMU counsellor.
