BRAVO - Budget and Resource Allocation Virtual Organiser

Project Description

BRAVO (Budget and Resource Allocation Virtual Organiser) is a self-paced web application developed to allow students to test themselves on the Budgeting and Planning Process in an interactive and engaging way. 

At the start of the application, students watch a video presented by the instructor on a step-by-step guide and approach to budgeting. 

The main portion of the project features a dynamic spreadsheet with immediate feedback that allow students to vary the initial assumptions and come up with different budgets for different scenarios.

The application also features a mini quiz that will test of students’ understanding of budgeting.

Teaching Strategy

The application allows students to explore and expand on their knowledge of budgeting and planning on their own time. This supplementary activity provides students with independent self-learning, which in turn encourages them to take charge of their own learning journey. It also serves as a revision tool where students can monitor their progress and learning needs.
