To bolster our commitment in advancing educational research within our faculty, the Education Research Seed Grant (ERSG) was inaugurated in November 2023.

This grant is designed to synergise with the ongoing SMU Education Research Fellowship (SMU-ERF), enhancing our capacity to endorse and acknowledge outstanding education research proposals while fostering collaborative research endeavours across diverse faculty domains.

  • All Standing, Practice, Education and Lecturer track faculty members, and CEC Teaching Fellows are eligible to apply.
  • Adjunct faculty members, Adjunct Teaching Mentors, SCIS Instructors and other administrative staff who support teaching and learning may participate in applications as collaborators in partnership with a full-time faculty project lead in the form of a team application.
