Research Grant Awards

SMU offers a range of grants to support faculty in conducting educational research. These awards fund inquiry into teaching and learning practices, with recipients selected through a merit-based process.

SMU-ERF Grant

SMU Education Research Fellowship (SMU-ERF) is awarded to faculty members who have demonstrated the ability or potential to attain accomplishment in educational research and to advance SMU’s Science of Teaching & Learning (SoTL).

SMU-ERSG

This grant complements the existing SMU-ERF in providing an avenue to support and recognise quality education research proposals, and to encourage collaborative research across faculty members.

MOE Tertiary Education Research Fund (TRF) Grant

This grant aims to promote higher education innovation and research.
