Why this Collaboration
Strategy case studies can only take students so far when the executive perspective behind the case stays on the page. This collaboration brings in GoWork's CEO directly, through filmed interviews that deepen the case narrative with authentic leadership insight, then pairs that with an AI simulation so students can pressure-test their own strategic thinking before bringing it into class discussion.
Industry Involvement
CCX and CTE worked together to produce interview videos with GoWork's CEO, giving students direct access to the executive thinking behind the case, rather than relying on the case narrative alone.
Student Learning Experience
This is a blended learning experience built for undergraduate students.
Pre-class — Students read the case and watch the CEO interview videos, deepening their understanding through authentic leadership perspectives.
AI Simulation (pre-class) — Students develop and refine an evidence-based strategy recommendation by discussing their ideas with an AI industry "colleague," who challenges their assumptions and reasoning before they arrive in class.
In-class — Students discuss the more complex teaching note questions, compare strategic options, and evaluate trade-offs together.
