Dr Lynn Gribble, SHEA, is nationally and internationally recognised for her thought leadership in Al teaching and learning and award - winning digital innovation practices. community at heart, she created and co-leads the Al Community of Practice to disseminate, collaborate and advocate the use of Al in education practices at UNSW.
An early adopter, adapter and authoritative voice in Al, she led the terms of reference responses for the Australasian Academic Integrity Network's submission to Parliament on the impacts of Artificial Intelligence in Education (2023) and also presented evidence to the Parliamentary enquiry. She has published several chapters on designing teaching and assessment in the face of rapidly developing Al, published in multiple Q1 journals, and invited to present internationally.
Are you worried about your students using Generative Al for assessment purposes?
If so, the first part of the workshop will prod you to reimagine your assessments to measure the process of what students need to do. Together, we will map the core work of subjects taught enabling assessment to be reimagined.
The workshop will then focus on improving grading processes, such as how you may help your students better understand the assessment tasks. We will then explore how to gain consistency with multiple markers, limit human error with grading and most importantly support your students to succeed with their assessment tasks.
Finally, we will explore how to create grading systems that award marks focusing students on growth mindsets and on the core learning that you are measuring. You will complete this workshop able to build a rubric effortlessly, and in the process, be able to grade submissions quickly, objectively, and consistently.
