Dr. Havovi Joshi

She is a widely published award-winning case author and has led numerous professional development workshops on case writing and teaching. She is also the author of the book Tips and Tools: A Guide to Effective Case Writing. In addition, Havovi is the editor-in-chief of Asian Management Insights and has served as a chief collaborator and editor on several book projects.
Teaching with cases has a long, rich and productive lineage as an established pedagogical tool in law and business education, and is growing in usage in the teaching of other disciplines.
This workshop introduces you to a pedagogical approach, generally premised on analysing narratives of real problems, faced by real organisations, and populated with real accounts and details, offers significant strides towards students attaining the various desired SMU graduate learning outcomes.
The inventory of skills that the case-based approach seeks to develop in students is broad:
