Siaw Ling has led and contributed to multiple research projects in the fields of social media analytics and technology-enhanced learning, funded by national research grants and industry partnerships. Her current focus is on enhancing the pedagogical integration of generative Al, ensuring its effective and responsible
implementation in education.
De.Al uses Generative Al to address student misconceptions with targeted multiple-choice questions. This approach enhances learning by incorporating these questions into in-class discussions. Research indicates that the quality of questions and answers generated through few-shot prompting is particularly promising. Furthermore, student surveys reveal increased engagement and more effective learning during class sessions. This presentation will explore strategies for integrating De.Al into various classrooms to improve learning outcomes.
