In this presentation, Associate Professor Demeester discusses some of the design choices made, such as the integration across courses, learning outcomes structure, attainment scale, link with grades, use of peer assessment, integration with eLearn, cohort benchmarking, and the pace of rollout. Associate Professor Demeester will also be sharing the results from student and instructor interviews and surveys from the most recent round of implementation.
With the use of the university-wide learning outcomes feedback system, instructors will potentially be able to enhance the profile of the course by formally linking it to the SMU graduate learning outcomes, systematically identify areas where students are struggling in order to adapt instructional strategies and assessments and improving the rating in the Quality and Frequency of Feedback.
In line with Singapore Management University’s (SMU) commitment to delivering interactive, participative and technologically-enabled student learning experience, the university is developing and implementing an university-wide learning outcomes feedback system with the aim of nurturing broadly educated individuals, with depth of knowledge and essential workplace capabilities.
