Description

This course aims to explore how a Classroom Response System (CRS) like Wooclap can help you to:

  • engage the individual learner and amplify the individual voice in a group setting
  • create opportunities for students to learn interactively (dialoguing), constructively (generating) and actively (manipulating) (refer to ICAP framework)
  • insert formative assessment junctions in the lessons (which provide the necessary pauses for students to synthesise their learning, as well as allow you to sense the room and modify teaching)

Targeted Audience

  • All instructors new to SMU
  • Instructors who are considering the use of classroom response systems to create an interactive climate in a face-to-face or synchronous online session

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • list at least three different questioning formats that are available in Wooclap
  • describe the range of question formats which can be used for generating conversation in the classroom
  • identify suitable question formats which correspond to the level of thinking required of students, so as to set assessments which are constructively aligned
